i. The choice

Two ways to end a fight

Nacralis, a giant armored serpent, coiled on a green island in a lake. Screenshot from the game.
Filippo, a small six-tailed fox.

Keep it

Stun it. Seal it. It fights beside you.

Wear it down without finishing it. Pick a seal card, time the ring, and it joins your team. Some companions will carry you across the land.

Kill it

Take it to zero. Take what's left.

Bring it down and it dies. What it leaves goes to the forge: Nacralis's ivory plates end up in your armor and your blades.

Choose before the last hit.

ii. The world

Go see what's out there, on foot, in the saddle, in the water or in the air

Meadows, a lake like a mirror, jungle, red mesas, and the Great Chasm, where the trouble is coming from.

iii. The creatures

Nothing here is tame Six of the ones you'll meet. Make the call.
